Samsung said the Galaxy Z Flip will be available on Feb. 14 for $1,380. That makes it $120 cheaper the new Razr. It also comes in three colors: Mirror Black, Mirror Purple, and Mirror Gold in some countries. Samsung claims you can fold and unfold it 200,000 times without sacrificing durability.
When it’s closed, you’ll see essentials like time and text messages on the exterior display.
It’s also got a hole-punch camera, which Samsung said is the first of its kind in a foldable phone.
For that price, you get a 6.7-inch screen, but Samsung’s presentation was pretty light on more detailed specs. It’s also got something called “Flex Mode,” in which the top half of the screen can display one thing and the bottom half can display another. For example, you could watch YouTube up top, and leave a comment on the bottom.
Here’s hoping Samsung’s second try at a foldable phone works out better than the first one.
